Pecelec was approached by Artist Oliver Beer to upgrade and modernise an existing concept for a commission for Bloomberg's Space gallery in Central London. The piece consisted of a constellation of suspended vessels with microphones inside, each object’s ‘voice’ is amplified when the microphones are turned on, each one triggered when movement sensors on the ceiling detect the visitors’ presence.
We took the existing system, miniturised it and then produced 40 units for the exhibition. We then provided on site support during installation and throughout the run.
